SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

Crawling and indexing.
Google starts by crawling the web. It follows links from page to page and collects as much of the web as it can. It puts all these collected pages into an index, and sorts them by content and other features.
When someone enters a search query, Google ranks the most relevant results. It uses algorithms to figure out what the searcher is looking for and serves up the most relevant pages from the index.
All that means making your site so appealingly possible must make for both a search engine and a searcher.
The 3 parts of a search result.
In general, there are 3 parts to a search result.
- Page title.
- Page url.
- Page description.
Search engines see this information as part of a code.
Because search engines and people see search results in different ways, you need to prepare your site in different ways. The good news is that optimisation is mostly about tuning and improving versus a complete site overhaul.
While optimising for search engine crawling is about the modifying words and urls, optimising for searchers is about the content creation.
Organise your content.
People love to share good content with others through social media, blogs, emails, etc. All those organic word-of-mouth advertising can help you get more visits and repeat visitors.
Therefore, organise your content and keep it focused on the topic at hand. Breaking it up into logical, short chunks helps people find what they are looking for faster.
Also pay attention to your images. Write a short caption under each image and place vital info in the text rather than in the image.
Make sure you add new content regularly. This will keep your fans coming back and attract new visitors.
