How to remove negative reviews on Meta Ads

Negative reviews and comments can affect your online reputation and the performance of your Meta Ads. While you cannot remove all negative reviews, you can manage certain reactions and hide or report inappropriate content through Ads Manager. Below, we explain how.
Step 1: The rules of Meta
Before you start, understand Meta's rules. Meta lets you remove reviews if they violate its guidelines:
This is to say
- If they contain offensive or hateful content.
- If it is spam or promotional content.
- If it is misleading information.
- If it's a fake account.
Negative opinions or honest reviews are usually not allowed to be deleted, but you can respond to them or hide them temporarily.
Step 2: Find negative reviews or comments via Ads Manager
If you have a negative response, you can indicate this in your ads manager
Follow this roadmap:
- Go to Ads Manager.
- Select the campaign and ad you want to manage reviews or comments on.
- Click See Post.
You now get a view of the post where you can see all the comments.
Step 3: Hide or delete comments
In Ads Manager's post-view, you can manage negative comments:
Find the negative review or reaction.
- Click on the three dots (...) next to the comment.
- Choose Hide comment to hide it from public view only, or Delete comment to delete it completely.
Tip: If the comment clearly violates Meta's guidelines, you can also report it. Meta will review the content and remove it if necessary.
